NIDC Drill 268km of Wells in 9 Months

    • TEHRAN, Dec. 30 (Shana) -- National Iranian Drilling Company (NIDC) has drilled more than 268 kilometers of oil and gas wells in offshore and onshore fields across Iran since the beginning of the current Iranian calendar year which began on March 21.
    • Hamid-Reza Khoshayand, deputy chief officer of NIDC, said the company has also installed 75 drilling rigs during the 9 months since March.

      Furthermore, NIDC has spudded 136 discovery, development and repair wells in 10 provinces of Iran. 

      Enjoying a highly educated labor, NIDC was formed to replace 46 drilling companies in Iran. 

      The NIDC chief further said the company's first offshore drilling projects started at phases 9 and 10 of the supergiant South Pars gas field that Iran shares with Qatar in Persian Gulf waters. 

      The company’s services include well logging, cementing and acidizing, drill stem test, well testing, training and development, and general services. It also provides engineering, programming, and industrial cleaning services to steam boilers, compressors suction and lub oil systems, water jackets, chillers, and heat exchangers, as well as industrial cleaning services to the oil and gas refineries. 

      NIDC is in charge of all offshore and onshore drilling activities. In 2011, NIDC, drilled or completed 192 oil and gas wells, drilled 454 thousand meters of wells and provided more than 8 thousand expert or technical services to customers.

      From a limited fleet of six drilling rigs in the beginning of the 80s to one of the Middle East most trusted companies in the field of oil & gas wells drilling, NIDC has a good history of technical innovation and development.
